Adea (ah-day-ya) doesn’t spend a lot of time in front of cameras with the intention of looking any particular way; she’s very comfortable just being in a place, in a moment, in a state, and being seen just as she is. A glance at her Instagram and you’ll get an honest, raw, unfiltered, and candid look into her life. The places she goes, the things she eats, the people she surrounds herself with; the photos are grainy, mostly film emotion captures and it’s all very unforced. Given the chance to photograph her in her home I went in with the intention of following her lead and not meddling in the natural order of things. This is Adea, featuring her dog, who initially wasn’t too fond of me but I was able to secure a couple face licks before the morning was over.
