Mireya

Long Island, New York (Digital)

There’s a six year gap between these pictures and the last time I photographed Mireya. Considering the amount of growth and change that takes place in that span, there’s something to be said of how seamless it was to pick up right where we left off those years ago. We kind of had an obligatory half hour of just catching up while she secured some final touches of her outfits but the second we began the muscle memory built into our synchronicity made this a walk in the park. Late morning sun did its’ best to be an issue but that canopy just above the stairs made for some solid shade; as did her hair at moment. Editing wise, I went with my familiar red-toned shadows and mist, kept the highlights tinted blue/cooler and desaturated the grass a bit to maintain her place as the center of the moment.
