Jax

Brooklyn, New York (Digital)

Three hours is all I needed with Jax to get a sense of what drives her, or maybe just one of the things. I think Jax craves reinvention, a constant refining and redefining of herself so that she’s able to soak up and ingest as much as possible. There’s also a really strong sense of self, self assurance, as if through all of the versions of herself she’s been been in the past and will become, she maintains a set of core values that root her to her reality. On the real life side of things, in the time I spent at their apartment, Jax made us tacos for dinner and we had a few beers. Safe to say that while all of those beneath the skin attributes and facets that I think I might know about her from my brief time hanging out sound great, the way those attributes actually come together in unison in who she is, is pretty splendid company. Oh and the pink armpit hair? She did them while I was there. She had to do it twice, I think she washed off the first application too soon, but either way, I think they turned out awesome. Editing these was a lot of fun, this was a month or so after getting my most recent camera and I was getting used to how much details I was able to capture; still am. I kept these warm, almost a peachy tint,  and I shifted most of the greys to blue as well to offset and balance everything out.
